The Americana music of Mama’s Marmalade is included leading up to them opening for Burlington-based jam band Cabinet Trio at the Stone Church in Brat. The Wood Brothers are also featured with there appearance at the Colonial Theatre in Keene coming up soon. Rosanne Cash will also be playing at the colonial theater in Keene soon and this episode includes her classic Seven Year Ache. Social Distortion’s treatment of Ring of Fire is included just for fun. New Orleans musician Anders Osborne is included in the episode leading up to his show at the Iron Horse in Northampton. John Langford and the Bright Shiners is also played, giving you a taste of their music before their appearance at Popolo in Bellows Falls.

Grammy nominated, Leslie Mendelson, is also included in this episode ahead of her show at the Colonial in Keene. A duet she does with Jackson Browne is also included, and a Jackson Browne classic done with Billy Strings is part of the show. British singer-songwriter Billy Bragg is featured leading up to his performance at the Academy of Music in Northampton. Treehouse Brewing in Deerfield has some great shows coming up and some Amos Lee and Old Crow Medicine show are played leading to shows there.

Phil Henry and Mark Erelli are featured leading up to their show at Next Stage Arts in Putney. Big Head Todd and the Monsters is featured ahead of their show at Treehouse Brewing in Deerfield. City and Colour is also part of this week’s show with him also playing at Treehouse. AJ Croce and Jim Croce are included in the show ahead of Croce plays Croce coming to the Colonial Theatre in Keene.

Some southern funk by Eddie 9Volt is included ahead of the band’s show at the Iron Horse in Northampton. The Stone Church in Brat will be hosting the Dolly Rots so a couple of their’s are included. The fiddle and voice of Rhiannon Giddens is also featured ahead her show at Deerfield’s Treehouse Brewing.

The blues of Joanne Shaw Taylor is featured leading up to her appearance at the Iron Horse. Folk legend Tom Paxton is featured ahead of his performance at the Park Theater in Jaffrey, NH. The Stone Church is hosting Darlingside and their beautiful mournful music is included on the show. With Ray Wylie Hubbard playing at Bellows Falls Opera House in late September, Mitch includes a couple from this alt country songwriter.

The Stone Church in Brat will be hosting Pokey LaFarge so Mitch includes a few from this eclectic musician. Previous guest of Listen Local, Jake McKelvie has released a new album and the single Pump Fake is included, leading up to his performance at the Rose Heart Club in Brattleboro. Dylan Patrick Ward is the headliner at that show and he is also featured. Twilight on the Tavern Green is once again up and running in Putney and Planet Zydeco is played ahead of their show. Some blues make the show this week, with Albert Cummings playing the Iron Horse and Brooks Young performing at the Colonial in Keene. Indie folk sensation Gregory Allen Isakov plays the Green River Festival and he is included on today’s show. The honky tonk sound of the Rear Defrosters is also featured.

I Draw Slow is part of the show ahead of their performance at Hawks and Reed in Greenfield. A live performance at stage 33 in Bellows Falls by Vermont singer-songwriter Tommy Crawford is featured.
