May is Flag Replacement Month for Brattleboro’s American Legion Post
With the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, the Brattleboro American Legion is asking for your help in refurbishing and replacing American flags at houses and business around town. If a flag has frayed edges, permanent stains, holes or tears beyond repair, or if the colors have faded, owners should bring it to the American Legion Post 5 at 32 Linden Street for appropriate disposal. The American Legion sells new flags, and in support of this flag initiative, both Brown & Roberts Ace Hardware and Fireside True Value Hardware will also be selling American flags at a discount throughout the month of May. The Legion’s goal is to have bright clean flags hanging all over town by Memorial Day.
