One more day of campaigning for the candidates in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary. Polls will be open Tuesday, as attention will focus on a crowded democratic field of candidates. Vermont’s presidential primary takes place three weeks later on March third.

A Putney man has been charged with a probation violation. Vermont state police were called to a residence on Bellows Falls Road. Saturday night for a reported disturbance and a reported stolen car. Police say 39-year old Julio Davila was held until sober and then released until arraignment later this month.

A Sharon Vermont woman faces multiple charges for an incident Saturday in Westminster. Vermont state police Saturday night conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling 101 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the operator, 35 year old Katie Needham, was in violation of numerous conditions of release, to include consuming alcohol, contacting a protected party, driving after curfew, and operating a vehicle that did not have an ignition interlock device.  Needham will face the charge at Windham Superior Court in Brattleboro. 

Dozens of museums and galleries across Vermont are joining together this year to draw more visitors and show them how technology impacts culture. 36 organizations will participate in “2020 Vision: Seeing the World Through Technology” project. Project Coordinator Gillian Sewake said each participating museum or gallery has created or tweaked an exhibit to fit the central theme of how technology has affected the world.

The state Department of Education is accepting nominations for the 2021 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year. Education officials said a candidate should be an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled classroom teacher from any state-approved or accredited school, pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The teacher would be certified in New Hampshire, demonstrate leadership and intend to continue in the teaching profession.

Kemba Walker scored 27 points, Jayson Tatum had 26 and the Boston Celtics beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-111 on Sunday for their seventh straight victory. Boston visits Houston Tuesday night, tip-off against the Rockets is at 9:30. The Bruins lost to Detroit yesterday 3-1. The Bruins host Montreal Wednesday night, face off against the Canadiens is at 730.
