Voting is taking place today (Tuesday, November 4, 2025), in Massachusetts and certain cities in New Hampshire. 

In Massachusetts, 55 cities and towns hold biennial municipal elections in odd-numbered years. This includes cities such as Boston, Cambridge, Springfield, Worcester, and many others.

In Greenfield MA. all nine precincts vote at the Greenfield High School gymnasium, 21 Barr Avenue. Voters should use the entrance located at the rear of the building.. Voters will cast ballots for local offices such as Mayor, City Council members, and School Committee members. Polling places are generally open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., though hours may vary by community.

General elections are not taking place statewide in New Hampshire today, November 4, 2025. However, the city of Manchester, NH, is holding its municipal general election. Positions up for election include Mayor, Aldermen, School Committee members, and various ward-level officials.

For all states, voters are advised to contact their local election office to get the most accurate and personalized information regarding their polling location, hours, and specific ballot measures.

 

A Windham County Sheriff’s Deputy sustained minor injuries after his cruiser was involved in a crash in Westminster on Saturday. According to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Thomas Raymond was struck by another driver while attempting to pull over a speeding vehicle. Investigators reported that the driver who collided with Raymond was traveling north on Route 5 when they tried to turn onto Access Road, resulting in the crash with the cruiser. Raymond was transported by ambulance to Springfield for treatment of his minor injuries and was subsequently released. The other driver is not facing any charges at this time. The Vermont State Police are currently investigating the incident.

 

New Hampshire residents must now schedule appointments for all services at the Division of Motor Vehicles. The state has announced that all DMV offices will transition to an appointment-only system aimed at minimizing wait times and enhancing customer service. To accommodate customer needs, additional appointment slots will be introduced this month at the busiest locations, such as Concord, Manchester, Nashua, and Epping. These DMV offices are anticipated to extend their hours until 5 p.m. on two days each week.

 

Vermont’s Economic Development Authority is set to open its Disaster Recovery Loan Fund for those affected by the recent drought. The funds are aimed at nonprofits, agricultural operations, and businesses that have been significantly impacted. This announcement follows a letter to VEDA CEO Joan Goldstein, signed by Vermont officials including Commerce Secretary Lindsay Kurrle and Agriculture Secretary Anson Tebbetts, advocating for Vermont agricultural businesses to gain access to VEDA’s fund.

 

A deceased hunter was found in the woods after they were reported missing to Fish and Game officials Saturday, November 1st. The department was notified about a deer hunter missing off River Road in Plainfield at about 6:58 p.m. They were reportedly told that the hunter went out Saturday morning and had not yet returned. Plainfield authorities, conservation officers and more searched the area. Eventually the hunter was found deceased in the woods at roughly 7:45p.m. Officials initially determined that the hunter had suffered “a medical emergency.”

 

Police have released the name of a man who died in a house fire in New Hampshire on Saturday. Officials say it was Alexis  Palmacci, 77, of Concord. The medical examiner says Palmacci died of smoke inhalation and his death was an accident. The fire started early Saturday morning at a home on Rhodora Court. Crews responding to a medical alert saw smoke coming from the front door. Firefighters rescued a woman they found sleeping inside but found Palmacci dead on another floor. Fire crews say there were no working fire alarms on the floor of the home where the fire started. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
