This past Saturday, April 26, National Prescription Take Back Day allowed communities nationwide to safely dispose of unused medications. Over 30 locations in Vermont provided drug drop-off sites for both prescription and over-the-counter drugs, aiming to prevent misuse and prevent prescription drugs from ending up in our waterways. Collected medications are incinerated at a drug enforcement administration site. For those unable to attend, year-round disposal kiosks are available at select locations.
