Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani sustained serious injuries in a car accident in New Hampshire while assisting a domestic violence victim, according to Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security. The New Hampshire State Police reported that the incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 30th, shortly before 10 p.m. on Interstate 93 northbound in Manchester. Authorities indicated that the crash took place near the location where troopers were responding to a reported domestic violence situation. Ragusa mentioned that Giuliani was a passenger in a Ford Bronco that was rear-ended by a Honda HRV after he was approached by a woman who identified herself as the victim of the same domestic violence case. Police confirmed that the driver of the Honda was a 19-year-old from Concord. Ragusa stated that Giuliani contacted the police and remained with the woman until assistance arrived. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where Ragusa reported that he suffered several injuries, including a fractured thoracic vertebra. Ragusa emphasized that this was not a deliberate attack and urged the public to respect Giuliani’s privacy and recovery. Both the 19-year-old driver and Giuliani’s driver also sustained injuries but are anticipated to recover. No charges have been filed, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Two separate fires occurred at adjacent homes in a New Hampshire city on Saturday. The first fire ignited at approximately 9:30 a.m. at 39 Elkins Street in Franklin, according to firefighters. Upon arrival, first responders observed flames at the rear of a three-story structure. Neighbors noticed the blaze and promptly called 911, as reported by authorities. The building consists of four units, with only one unit occupied, and the resident was not present during the incident. The second fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. in an upstairs bedroom at 35 Elkins Street. Firefighters were responding to a medical emergency when they received this call, authorities stated. The building contains two units, housing about five individuals, though not all were home at the time of the fire. As a result, five individuals have been displaced and will seek assistance from the Red Cross.
