road with five children in the car. She was charged with her second
DUI as well as five counts of child endangerment. She’s due in court at

The future of the Goddard College campus in Plainfield remains uncertain following the failed land purchase. The Board of Trustees has reached out to interested parties to submit new offers to help meet financial obligations. Cooperation Vermont proposed buying the campus for community projects, but Goddard has not accepted their offers. The school will close at the end of summer, with students attending classes online since January.
As Vermonters work to clean up the damage from the recent storms and flooding, the state is encouraging people to use the contractor registry provided by the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office.
According to a 2022 law, contractors performing residential
construction valued at $10,000 or more are required to register. The
secretary of state says it’s a good resource to avoid fraudulent
contractors and a helpful resource when doing research about a
potential hire, especially in the wake of last week’s flooding.
The summer meals program for children in Vermont is growing. This year, there are 175 school meal sites established throughout the state to offer free meals to all individuals aged 18 and under– a record number. The meals consist of fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, and other items. Families believe that having meals accessible for their children can have a significant impact. Organizers have stated that this will provide additional relief for flood victims who suffered food loss as a result of the damage. Those requiring assistance can contact 211 for further details.

Despite the possibility of a maximum five-year jail term, Chisholm was ultimately sentenced to just 30 days and will also be placed on probation for six years.
