Covid 19 information for the holiday weekend will not be available until after the weekend. On Wednesday, there were 295 new covid 19 cases reported in Vermont with one death. Windham County reported 9 new cases of the virus. On Wednesday, New Hampshire reported 4 deaths and 1,011 new covid cases, one of the deaths and 43 of the covid cases occurred in Cheshire County. Massachusetts Wednesday reported 18 dead and 2,978 new covid cases, with 23 cases of the covid virus occurring in Franklin County.
A Rockingham, woman was reported as the victim of a fatal accident on Tuesday afternoon in Windsor. 59-year-old Kathleen Spence was killed when a southbound vehicle on interstate91 turned around and began driving north in the southbound lane. 34-year-old Sarah Love of Waitsfield Vermont faces charges in connection with the crash.
Hundreds enjoyed a free pre-Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday, with food prepared by volunteers working at Brattleboro Union High school. The free community event was not held last year due to covid 19, and the venue was mov ed this year to allow for additional distancing.
The Thanksgiving holiday weekend continues with government offices closed Today. Brattleboro town offices are closed except for emergency services. The Brooks Memorial Library will be open for normal hours. Thursday trash and recycling will be picked up today.
The 43rd Annual Putney Craft Tour, the oldest continuing crafts tour in the country, takes place today thru Sunday. Glass blowers, potters, jewelers, weavers, painters, even artisan cheesemakers, and winemakers– invite visitors to come into their studios, discover, ask questions, and buy direct from the artisan who made it. The New Hampshire House is expected to kick off the 2022 legislative session with three consecutive days of voting, but leaders are still figuring out how to bring the 400 members together safely. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the House has met indoors in large athletic facilities, outside on a field hockey pitch and once from their cars in a parking lot. In the latest House calendar, Speaker Sherm Packard, R-Londonderry, says the House will meet Jan. 5, 6 and likely 7. His office says the location hasn’t been chosen.

Finals from the NFL yesterday. A couple of games decided by field-goals, including a penalty-filled game between Las Vegas and Dallas, the Raiders win in overtime, 36-33. The Bears beat the Lions with a last second field-goal, 16-14. The Bills thumped the Saints 31-6.
Early game for the Bruins today, they host the Rangers this afternoon, puck drops at 1pm.
The Celtics are in San Antonio tonight, tip-off is at 8:30.
