28 new Covid 19 cases in Vermont, for current totals of 2,073 positive tests and 58 dead. In Windham County, no new activity Sunday, with totals of 145 cases and 3 dead.

New Hampshire’s Health and human service department says there were 92 new positive test results for COVID-19, and no additional deaths on Sunday. The current totals are 10,326 cases and 473 dead. There was one new positive test in Cheshire county, with totals of 182 cases and 3 dead.

The coronavirus death toll grew to 9,640 in Massachusetts Sunday, with 24 new confirmed deaths, according to the state. The number of confirmed cases also climbed by 1,097, reaching a total of 147,120. Franklin county is at 461 confirmed cases and 72 dead.  

Four people were taken to a hospital after a single vehicle rollover crash just south of the Vermont border Saturday night. Bernardston Police said the crash occurred on Huckle Hill  road just south of the  Vernon town line around 8:00 p.m. Saturday night. Two of the four people were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. All four people are expected to be okay. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The accident is currently being investigated.

Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy says U Supreme court nominee Amy Barrett would set the clock back decades on all of the rights that Americans have fought so hard to achieve and protect.  Leahy says during confirmation hearings, Barrett refused to give clear answers on  basic questions, including  whether masks inhibit the spread of COVID-19, or that climate change is real, or that voter discrimination exists.  With a final vote scheduled today, Leahy says Republicans have reduced the Judiciary Committee’s role to a mindless rubberstamp of a President’s nominees, just as they have diminished the Senate to a subordinate arm of the executive branch.  

Vermont  Attorney General TJ Donovan will partner with Windham County State’s Attorney Tracy Shriver, and Vermont Legal Aid, to host an expungement “tele-clinic” on Friday, November 13 from 10 am to 2 pm. Expungements wipe from your record specific convictions and dismissed charges after a certain period of time has passed. Under Vermont law, many misdemeanors, 14 different felony offenses, and all dismissed charges can be expunged. The free clinic will focus on expunging criminal charges and convictions from Windham County and will be open to the public by telephone appointment.  

President Donald Trump held a campaign rally in New Hampshire on Sunday, one day after voting early in Florida.  Trump spoke for more than an hour to an enthusiastic crowd outside Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. meanwhile, New Hampshire’s largest newspaper, the Union Leader, endorsed opponent Joe Biden for president, the first time in 100 years the newspaper has endorsed a Democrat for the nation’s highest office.

New Hampshire Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan want on Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Robert Wilkie to follow through on promises to increase veterans’ access to mental health care. The senators, in a letter to the v a, said   More than 6,000 veterans die by suicide annually. Congress has done its part by providing consistent and robust resources for VA’s mental health budget and developing and passing comprehensive veterans’ mental health care legislation. Almost three years after the bill was signed, the Department has not increased access to mental health care, leaving up to 60 percent of newly transitioned service members without access to life-saving care

A tough day for Cam Newton and the Patriots on Sunday. Newton had three interceptions and the Patriots lost to old friend Jimmy Garroppolo and the San Francisco 49’ers 33-6. Bill Belichick has said Newton will remain the starter next week against Buffalo.

Game 5 of the World Series saw Clayton Kershaw striking out 6 as the Dodgers beat the Rays 4-2 to take a 3 games to 2 lead in the series. Game 6 is tomorrow night, first pitch is at 8:05.

Locally, as heard on 99 5 The Beast, Brattleboro lost to Mt. Anthony Friday Night, 34-31. Devin Speno had two touchdown passes for Brattleboro. We’ll have Friday Night’s Regional Semi-Final at Natowich on the 995 The Beast and at 99 5 The Beast Dot Com.

Bellows Falls beat Springfield in Boy’s High School Football, 28-24. Green Mountain beat Leland & Gray in Boy’s High School Soccer on Saturday, 2-1.
